Here are the services I offer to different kinds of writers:

• Creative ~ I help poets and prose writers articulate goals, establish and stick to a project timeline, and get down to the slippery truth of the story they're telling.
• Business ~ I help companies help their employees to consistently represent the organization well in all of its written communications, such as emails and letters, memos, and social media posts.
• Academic ~ I help students manage their time, navigate their way into and through college, and gain confidence in their ability to think critically and express their ideas.

A note about how I work

I offer all my clients a free 1/2 hour phone consultation. During that conversation, we clarify your needs and the scope of your project and how much I will charge. Then I draft a set of primary goals and an action plan for us to review during our first meeting, which can happen live in NYC or via phone, email, Skype, etc. Most of my writers and I meet on a weekly schedule. On-call support and editing services can also be arranged.

A bit about me

I teach creative nonfiction at The New School in New York and academic writing at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. I've also created and taught workshops for the Writer's Voice and the International Women's Writing Guild, among others. My prose and poetry have appeared in The New York Times, Art & Understanding, and And Then. The Sloan Foundation, Blue Mountain Center, Soul Mountain, and the Puffin Foundation have awarded grants and residencies to support my teaching and writing.
